SIR has some wonderful golfing opportunities. For example, in 2007 we scheduled tournaments in Las Vegas, Reno and a State Scramble Team Championship at Poppy Ridge.  Then on to Solvang, followed by the State Individual Championship at Poppy Hills.  The last tournament of the year, in late November and early December, is in Ixtapa, Mexico at the Dorado Pacifico Hotel.

These tournaments are organized by the SIR State Golf Committee made up of 12 members from all of the SIR Golfing Divisions.

Area and Division qualifying tournaments are held at various locations to determine participation in the two State Championships.

Most of our 160 Branches have a golfing activity.  They usually play once a week at various local courses. Members enjoy playing with people from their own branch as well as other branches.  Golf is our most popular Branch activity.
